How It All Started
Redeemer Bible Church has a long history of serving the South Sacramento and Elk Grove, California community.
More than 70 years ago, Sacramento Bible Church began faithfully proclaiming Christ in the area before relocating to Meadowview, where Meadowview Bible Church continued that work for over 50 years.
In the mid-2000s, the church moved to Elk Grove, California and became Elk Grove Bible Church. After meeting in various locations, the church settled at 3101 Dwight Road in 2014.
In 2015, the Lord raised up a team of pastor-elders to lead and shepherd the church, and in 2017, Pastor Justin joined the staff full-time.
That foundation set the stage for a season of growth and development in the years that followed.

Expanding The Vision
Over the next several years, the Lord continued to build His church as His Word was faithfully proclaimed. People came to know Jesus, grew in their faith, and deepened their love for one another and the Elk Grove community.
During this time, we purchased and paid off our building, and in 2022 completed a full interior remodel to better support discipleship and ministry.
We also saw meaningful growth in how we care for and equip the church body—launching Home Groups for life-on-life discipleship, developing a Biblical Counseling ministry, and strengthening our Student Ministry along with men’s and women’s Bible studies.
This season of growth also led to an important step of unity with another local church.

Where We Are Headed
In the fall of 2021, River Ridge Neighborhood Church began conversations with Elk Grove Bible Church about merging. For over 25 years, RRNC had faithfully served the Elk Grove community with a shared commitment to making disciples who love and follow Jesus.
On Easter Sunday 2022, the two churches officially became one.
We believed we could do more together for the glory of God than apart—and today, we are one church family, united in Christ and striving together for the gospel-good of our community.

Our Name
In 2022, the pastor-elders prayerfully led Elk Grove Bible Church to become Redeemer Bible Church.
Our name reflects who we are and what we believe:
Our name reflects who we are and what we believe:
Redeemer points to God’s saving work through Jesus Christ.
Bible affirms our commitment to God’s Word as our authority for knowing and living for Him.
Church reminds us that we are a local body—set apart and gathered together as God’s people.
Today
Today, Redeemer Bible Church is a growing church serving Elk Grove and the surrounding South Sacramento community.
By God’s grace, we continue to teach His Word, make disciples, and care for one another as a church family. We are not a perfect church—but we are a church being shaped by God’s Word.
